About

I decided to create this blog to help the thousands who every day wake up wanting the removal of their tattoo!

If you do a little research, it’s amazing the number of people who, almost in the next minute after finishing their tattoos, regret having them… See this 4 examples below:

Tattoo Fail - Vagina

Tattoo Fail - Cat Ass

Tattoo Fail - Girls love it

Tattoo Fail - Fish Eyebrows

Impossible not to regret this… 🙂

Ok, now, a little background of myself. I have a tattoo, done in November 2007. It was not a decision made from one day to the next… It was something that I wanted to do for a couple of years but I was waiting for the perfect drawing, the perfect symbol, one that I would never regret.

So, first I thought of my passions, what I loved the most, but I figured out that passions come and go during our lives, and something we love today, may hate tomorrow… So, besides loving bikes, windsurf, kung fu, and other things, I decided it had to be another thing…

One day, out of the blue, I found out the perfect sentence, the one that resumed what I hated the most about myself, the thing that I wanted to correct the most, the phrase that would become my life motto!  I could not write it in plain English, I wanted something that remind me of the motto but that other people wouldn’t understand. A few months later, look at it as a sign or not, I found almost the same meaning on a chinese sentence. It perfectly resumed what I wanted for myself, what I had to do to become a better person!

But, it was in Chinese, and I had to make sure that it was exactly that what was written… I bet that a lot of the tattoos that people want to remove are from chinese or japanese symbols that someone told them that they mean something and then they figured out that they meant a completely different thing… So I pick up the phrase and gave it to 3 people whom I trusted, to translate them. They all told me a similar translation, with one or two minor differences, but the sentence meaning was the one that I wanted!

Then I found another problem, I wanted to have the tattoo on my right shoulder, and only the chinese symbols there gave it a weird look… I didn’t want to put it on the center of my back, as most of people do (it was “fashion” back then), and I had to figured out what I could do for it to look good. I did a lot of research on tattoo saloons, tattoo magazines, and on the net. I found numerous sites with amazing tattoos, but the three I loved the most and that helped me getting what I wanted were Infinite Tattoos , e-Tattoo and Dream-Tattoos. I had to pay a little amount to have access to the tattoos images but it was worth it, after all, it’s something that I wanted to have all my life, so investing a little on it made perfect sense.

I’ve then made another blog where I have all these amazing links to artists, magazines, blogs, sites, that I bet will have a the perfect tattoo for every one, check it at Tattoos Tattoo!

I decided to have a parchment where I would write the chinese symbols! I made a simple photoshop transformation and I was happy with it… But I waited a few more months before doing it, to make sure it was what I really wanted… And, as most things on our lives, the final push up was made by some friends who were going to have one and I took the chance and went along with them. I then talked to the tattoo artist and he helped me improve the design to his own taste and skills. It was amazing, I can see it everyday, I love it, it remembers me of the errors I can’t repeat in my life and pushes me forward to really enjoy every day!

But, let’s get back on to removal of tattoos, that is really what you’re here for.
